When searching for company information, including innovation strategies, the following resources may be helpful:
- Company news and press releases
- Annual reports
- Newspaper, magazine, and trade publication articles
- LinkedIn, Twitter, and other company communications via social media
The library has access to a series of business reports: MarketLine Company Profile and MarketLine Industry Profile. These profiles are available through Business Source Premier and provides company details including:
- Company Overview
- Key Facts
- Business Description
- Key Employees
- Major Products and Services
- SWOT Analysis
- Top Competitors
Keep in mind that some information for private companies, such as annual and financial reports, are typically not available publicly and will require some extra research to get a sense of the company's finances and other data.
- Go to Business Source Premier.
- On the Advanced Search screen, type in the following:
- "MarketLine Company Profile" Note: Adding quotation marks will bring back the exact title.
- Company Name.
- Next to each search box, select "Ti Title" to search by Title.
- Click Search.
The search results will be displayed on the screen. The results are automatically displayed by relevance. You can change the search options to view the results by date, source, or author.
Select HTML Full Text or PDF Full Text to download the report.
The PDF Full Text will preserve the formatting and style of the original report whereas the HTML Full Text will display the report as a webpage and the formatting will not be preserved.
