Getting Started with Library Research

Researching on Mobile Devices

Although the library's website is optimized for mobile devices, searching databases on a tablet or phone may cause the material to display oddly, and some features may not be available. Some database companies optimize their websites for mobile device use and some have special apps you can download to research from a small device, as shown below.

EBSCO Mobile App

The EBSCO Mobile App video helps you learn to use Ebsco databases on your mobile devices. The mobile app works only with Ebsco branded databases, which have a blue banner and the EBSCOhost logo.

You can select EBSCO databases by going to the UMass Global Library’s Databases List and changing the All Vendors/Providers drop down menu to EBSCO.

For mobile compatibility, use https://www.emerald.com/insight/ and sign in with UMass Global credentials.
