Special Access Resources (NYT/WSJ)

How to get access to the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Google Scholar.

Special Access Resources

Most of the UMass Global Library's databases, journals, and eBooks may be accessed using only your UMass Global credentials, as long as you begin your search on the library's website.

If you begin a search in Google instead of the library's website, you may be denied access to material you are entitled to use.

Some resources require you to take extra steps to verify your university credentials and create unique user IDs and passwords. Additionally, while all library resources are available to you as long as you are a student or an employee of UMass Global, some resources require you to renew your credentials periodically.

UMass Global provides the community with some resources that require extra steps to use. This guide provides instructions for accessing the following resources that have special sign-on and/or renewal requirements. The extra steps may be a bit cumbersome, but they are the only way that the UMass Global community can access these important resources. Click on the titles for more information.
