Ed.D Graduate Project Formatting Guidelines

Title Page formatting: 

The title page is the first page of your project. Format it as follows:

  • The first line includes the full title of dissertation/scholarly project in proper title capitalization (You will use the full title in this exact format throughout your document).
  • Next line, "A Dissertation by" 
  • Next line, your First, Middle (if desired) and Last name (You will type your name in this exact format throughout this document)
  • Insert one blank line.
  • Next line, “University of Massachusetts Global,” with "A Private Nonprofit Affiliate of the University of Massachusetts" on the following line. 
  • Next line, "Irvine, California"
  • Next line, include Department, School, or College granting degree.
  • Next line, include “Submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of” statement.
  • Next line, include month and year in which the degree is awarded.
  • Insert one blank line. Next line, “Committee in charge” followed on subsequent lines by names of all committee members. Label the Chair. 
  • No page number
  • Center text vertically (equal white space top/bottom) and horizontally (equal white space left/right).
  • Double-spaced

Do not use any stylized fonts, different font weights/colors/sizes, or images on the Title Page.

You will replace highlighted text.  Your Title Page should not have highlighting.
