Ed.D Graduate Project Formatting Guidelines

Table of Contents formatting

Format the Table of Contents as follows:

  • Label as TABLE OF CONTENTS in all caps and center.
  • Assign the appropriate lower case Roman numeral as a page number.
  • Single space within chapter’s entries and double space between chapters, tables, figures, and symbols.

Table of Contents Guidelines

  • All sections of the manuscript are listed in the Table of Contents except the Title Page, the Copyright Page, the Acknowledgements Page, the Abstracts Page, and the Table of Contents.
  • Page numbers listed on the Table of Contents must match actual location of text in the manuscript
  • List your appendices after the References pages. Do not list individual appendices; just include the word APPENDICES and the page number where they begin.
  • Create your LIST OF TABLES, LIST OF FIGURES, LIST OF SYMBOLS and ABBREVIATIONS after the Appendices and format like the Table of Contents.

Table of Contents Example

Your table of contents may be longer than one page.

You will replace highlighted text.  The page in your document should not have highlighting.
