Ed.D Graduate Project Formatting Guidelines

Body and Text

  • Make sure that your text starts over with page 1, and the number is in the footer with an Arabic number.
  • Make sure that your font complies with the requirements in the ProQuest document.  Times New Roman 12 works great.
  • The library does not look at the content. That is approved by your Committee.

For students who are using APA 7, use these heading styles:

  • Level 2 Heading
    • Apply the “APA 2 Heading” style to headings at this level (Flush Left, Bold, Title Case Heading).  For this heading, capitalize the first letter of proper nouns and each word consisting of at least four letters (title case).
  • Level 3 Heading
    • Apply the “APA 3 Heading” style to headings at this level (IB  For this heading, capitalize the first letter of proper nouns and each word consisting of at least four letters (title case).
  • Level 4 Heading.
    • Apply the “APA 4 Heading” style to headings at this level (Indented, Bold, Title Case Heading, Ending With a Period).  For this heading, capitalize the first letter of proper nouns and each word consisting of at least four letters (title case).  Start the next sentence on the same line.
  • Level 5 Heading.
    • Apply the “APA 5 Heading” style to headings at this level (Indented, Bold Italic, Title Case Heading, Ending With a Period).  Use sentence capitalization in the heading and end with a period.  Start the next sentence on the same line.
